Chronogender Characters in The Mahabharatha

In Mahabharata, we have a large number of characters portrayed like Gods, demons, mortals, underlying love, hatred and family dynamics. There is a whole rage of gender fluid characters in this epic. Budh is the first gender fluid character whose gender is curse to be neuter but later gets married to a prince and being himself like a woman. Bhishma is a character who voluntarily takes a different gender than the one assigned by birth. Arjuna, one among the five Pandavas, disguises himself as a working dance teacher, a woman named Brihanalla. Even Lord Krishna takes female form, Mohini and marries Arjuna's son Iravan. Female bodied character namely Princess Shikandi bodies herself to be female, later gets transformed to a man. In Mahabharata, being male is more superior to female. Society rules regarding gender roles are still important. Also, the hidden message gender is not important but gender transformation is.
