Child labour refers to the exploitation of children through any form of work that deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and is mentally, physically, socially and morally harmful. The term “child labour” is often defined as work that deprives children of their childhood, their potential and their dignity, and that is harmful to physical and mental development. Child labour is a social malice that sabotages the most innocent phase of human life – childhood! Various causes of child labour like the curse of poverty, lack of educational resources, Social and economic backwardness, addiction, disease or disability, the lure of cheap labour, family tradition, discrimination between boys and girls.
