Child and Adolescent Issues

Presentations | English

We live in a period when there is a lot of talk about mental health. We are surrounded by people who need extra attention and care. The feeling of being with them or a few words of consolation is sufficient to overcome suicide. According to UNICEF, the World Health Organization estimates that 10 to 20 per cent of teens suffer from mental health problems. Teenagers and young adults make up the majority of those suffering from mental illnesses. Anxiety about the future, family problems, the complexity of relationships, and socio-contemporary problems are just some of the factors that can lead to drastic depression. Unfortunately, most of these problems go unnoticed. Lack of recognition due to ignorance or misunderstanding about mental health issues. It also affects our children. Mental problems in adolescents can be averted with timely diagnosis and therapy. But if not given reasonable awareness and care, it can lead to anxiety, depression, behavioural changes and even suicide. Children should be considered and their opinion valued. If you think you have mental health problems, do not miss seeking medical attention. Take time to listen to your children's problems. This will make them believe that their parents are with them, even if they are minors.
