Chemical Context of Living Systems

Presentations | English

All biological processes follow the laws of physics and chemistry; so in order to understand how biological systems work, it is important to understand the underlying physics and chemistry. All living things are composed of similar chemical compounds. All living things share a common set of chemical elements that make up most cell molecules. Organisms are made of molecules formed primarily of carbon, hydro- gen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus, and sulphur. These form the nucleic acids, proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids that are the fundamental components of living matter. The presentation will give in-depth knowledge on the topic.
