Characteristics of Business Ethics

Presentations | English

Business ethics is the set of moral rules that govern how businesses operate, how business decisions are made and how associated resources are treated. It refers to implementing appropriate business policies and practices with regard to arguably controversial subjects that includes corporate governance, insider trading, bribery, discrimination, corporate social responsibility, and fiduciary responsibilities. It enhances the law by outlining standard behaviours beyond government control. Corporations establish business ethics to promote integrity among their employees and gain trust from key stakeholders, such as investors and consumers. An ethical business shows respect for all the stakeholders of business. It includes respect for its employees, customers, society, vendors and so on. It respects its employees by valuing their opinions and treating them as equal. It also shows respect for its customers by listening to their feedbacks and assessing their needs. Likewise, an ethical business considers and values all the stakeholders of business. The several characteristics of business ethics are detailed in the presentation.
