Audio | English

Consisting of a total of 29 verses, the ‘Karma–Sanyasa yoga’ is the 5th chapter of the wisdom of Bhagavad Gita. As Lord Krishna continues to speak about ‘karma’ and ‘sanyasa’, He leaves jnana behind for this chapter. He then compares the two aspects that is ‘karma – sanyasa’ or the path of renunciation in action and ‘karma yoga’ which is the path of actions with detachment. He continues to explain by saying that both of the paths are a choice and that it would only eventually lead up to the same destination. Lord Krishna enunciates that one must treat everyone as equal to the several manifestations of the Lord himself and be content in understanding it is the true self that is blissful and desires for nothing. He concludes the 7th chapter by again adding to find bliss and happiness in your actions and to stop seeking or expecting for profit one’s own effort and time.
