The 18th and the final chapter in the Bhagavad Gita is the ‘Moksha–Sanyasa yoga’ or the ‘Path through the Perfection of Renunciation and Surrender’. This is the longest chapter in the Bhagavad Gita. Initially, see Arjuna requesting Sri Krishna to educate him on renunciation and to explain the meaning of that of ‘sanyās’ and ‘tyāg’, and to educate him on what makes them both different from each other, both being an act of renunciation. Later, Sri Krishna gives a detailed description of the 5 elementary factors contributing to action, the 3 other constituents and the 3 separate factors that inspire the course of action. In the chapter, He focuses on the intricate details regarding the qualities in an individual who attained the worth and perfection in transcendentality. The Bhagavad Gita comes to a conclusion with this chapter and Arjuna, enlightened with the newly received wisdom, as he conveys to Krishna that he is free of confusions and that he is ready to act on His advises.
