1969-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ 'ഉറങ്ങാത്ത സുന്ദരി' എന്ന മലയാളചലച്ചിത്രത്തിലെ മനോഹരമായ ഒരു ഗാനമാണ് "ചന്ദന കല്ലിലുരച്ചാലേ സ്വർണ്ണത്തിന് മാറ്ററിയൂ കാറ്റിൻ ചോലയിൽ അലിഞ്ഞാലേ കൈതപൂവിൻ മണമറിയൂ". ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത് പി സുശീലയാണ്. ഈ ഗാനത്തിന്റെ സംഗീതം ജി ദേവരാജനും ഗാനരചയിതാവ് വയലാർ രാമവർമ്മയുമാണ്. സത്യൻ, രാജശ്രീ, കെ വി ശാന്തി, ജയഭാരതി എന്നിവർ പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. പി സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യം ആയിരുന്നു ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ സംവിധായകൻ.
