Career Planning

Presentations | English

“He who fails to plan is planning to fail” – Winston Churchill. Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions you will make in life. Career planning is identifying what you are good at, knowing how your skills, talents, values, and interests translate into possible jobs or careers. It is a process of identifying the professional path that will suit your personality, interests and goals. It involves exploring different career options, performing a self-evaluation to test your suitability for these and finding the right ways to get on a career track. The career planning process has four components: Self - Assessment, Career Exploration, Career Identification, and Action Plan. A career plan is important as it can help you manage the direction of your career, the job skills and knowledge you may need, how you get them and how you can secure your dream job. Developing a career plan can make major goals that seem unmanageable become much more manageable. The presentation gives better insight on the topic.
