“Tissues” is a chapter in the NCERT science textbook of standard IX. All living organisms are made of cells. Unicellular organisms have a single cell whereas multicellular organisms have millions of cells. In unicellular organisms, a single cell performs all basic functions. In multicellular organisms, a particular function is carried out by a cluster of cells at a specific place in the body.
