Close range data transmission from one digital device to another is possible through Bluetooth technology. It is a wireless communication technology to replace the cables connecting two electronic devices, allowing a person to have phone conversation via headset, use a wireless mouse and synchronize information from a mobile phone to a personal computer. When connecting Bluetooth devices for the first time, registration is required. This process is called pairing. For two devices to connect using Bluetooth, both devices must support the same profile. If the devices support different profiles, they cannot be connected. Bluetooth devices are managed using an RF technology known as “star topology”. Like any successful technology the complex technology of Bluetooth also works without the user being aware of anything more than connecting the device, talking hands- free or listening to high quality stereo music on wireless headset.
