Human blood is a mixture of liquid and solid components. Plasma is a liquid made up of water, salts, and protein, while red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets make up the solid part. Blood is divided into four groups based on the presence and absence of antibodies and inherited antigenic compounds on the surface of red blood cells, such as A, B, AB, and O.
