"‘Social work’ is a subject matter and area of ​​expertise aimed at stimulating the well-being of groups in society, individuals and families. Social work is based on the principles of social sciences-theories and principles of social justice, laws, social psychology, human rights and rights standards, collective responsibility, and respect for diversity. The main purpose of this sector is social improvement, social cohesion, economic liberation, renewal of rights, and empowerment of the individual and society for a complete social change from social oppression and other abuses. Social management is different when compared to social service, but it also includes areas of activity in which social service is implemented scientifically and efficiently. Undergraduate and Postgraduate (MSW) degrees are required to work in this field. Academic programs for this are available at various levels, like, Community Development, Human Resource Management and Development, Social Service Administration, and Health and Mental Health Work (Medical-Psychiatric Social Work)."
