Basics Molecular Biology

Presentations | English

Molecular biology is the branch of biology that studies the molecular basis of biological activity. Living things are made of chemicals just as non-living things are, so a molecular biologist studies how molecules interact with one another in living organisms to perform the functions of life. It chiefly concerns itself with understanding the interactions between the various systems of a cell, including the interactions between DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), RNA (Ribonucleic acid) and protein biosynthesis as well as learning how these interactions are regulated. It plays important role in understanding formations, actions, and regulations of various parts of cells which can be used to efficiently target new drugs, diagnose disease, and understand the physiology of the cell.
