Presentations | English

What are the Basic Laws and Concepts for Environmental Scientists? Environmental science is the study of interactions among the physical, chemical and biological components of the environment. Environmental scientists and specialists use their knowledge of the natural sciences to protect the environment and human health. Environmental Science & Management stands at the interface between humans and the Earth and explores the interactions and relations between them. The six laws related to environmental protection and wildlife are: The Environment (Protection) Act, 1986; The Forest (Conservation) Act, 1980; The Wildlife Protection Act, 1972; Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974; Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and The Indian Forest Act, 1927. Environmental law is the collection of laws, regulations, agreements and common law that governs how humans interact with their environment. Environmental scientists study subjects like the understanding of earth processes, evaluating alternative energy systems, pollution control and mitigation, natural resource management, and the effects of global climate change.
