“Bangarwadi” was written by Venkitesh Madgulkar and this work was translated by Babu. This 1976 book was published by National Book Trust. The novel was basically written in Marathi language. It is a story of a young school teacher and his experience in a small village of Shepherds in the princely state of Aundh during the 1940s. The village was a deserted place where there is no water and this drought forces the people of this village abandons and leaves the villageand the teacher alone.
