"Surah Az-Zukhruf or ""The Gold Ornaments"" is the forty third chapter or Surah in the Holy Book of Quran. The name was derived from the 35th verse. It comprises of a total of 89 verses (ayat) divided into 7 Rukus or Sections. Surah Az-Zukhruf is also one of the seven Surahs of Quran. The Surah was also revealed in Mecca around the same time as of Surah Ghafir, Surah Fussilat and Surah Ash-Shura and hence it is a Meccan Surah. It also is noticable for a criticism the chapter raised on Quraysh, Arab creeds and superstitions. The Surah states that the goodness, divinity and blessings of God cannot be found in materialistic pleasures of life and thus it acted as a reminder to not stick to the materialistic happiness alone. Surah Az-Zukhruf also rejects a major statement by discarding the possibility of Jesus being the actual son of God."
