"The sixty fifth chapter or Surah is titled At-Talaq or ""Divorce"". The Surah primarily deals with the subject of divorce and Gods commands regarding the same, therefore the name of the title is derived from the entire Surah in itself. It comprises a total of 12 verses (ayah) which are further divided into 2 Rukus or Sections. The revelation of the Surah was made in Madina. Like the title suggests, Surah At-Talaq discusses God's advices and commandments regarding the practice of divorce and it's waiting period Iddah. The subject was before simply mentioned in Surah Baqarah although here the matter is looked into deeply and intricately. Therefore, here the rules and regulations regarding divorce is presented. The Surah thus also instructs the women to submit oneself to God's commands."
