Asking For Directions - Template 02

Images | English

"Are you planning a trip to a country where English is spoken? If you are, one of the most important things you will need to know is how to ask for directions, so here are a few phrases to help you out. When asking for directions, remember to be courteous and to say ""thank you""! ""How do I get to..."" says the narrator. – This is the most straightforward method of requesting directions. When you say this, the other person will either tell you which mode of transportation to take (bus, subway) or explain your route to you. ""Could you please tell me how to get to..."" – This is a very courteous way of requesting directions. ""How do I know where I am?"" – However, even if you ask for directions in an English-speaking country, you may still get lost. And, in order to get new directions, you may need to determine your exact location, such as which street you are on. If this is the case, you should ask this specific question."
