Aruthenno paaduvanaruthenno is a malayalam song from the drama Thee. It's music was composed by M K Arjunan and and lyrics written by O N V Kurup. Ottaplakkal Neelakandan Velu Kurup was a Malayalam poet and lyricist from Kerala, India, who in 2007 received the Jnanpith Award, India's highest literary honour. In 1998, he was awarded the Padma Shri, India's fourth highest civilian honour, and in 2011, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian honour. He received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Kerala in Trivandrum in 2007. O. N. V. was well-known for his left-wing sympathies. He was a member of the All India Students Federation's leadership team (AISF). Munnottu was O. N. V.'s first published poem, which appeared in a local weekly in 1946. Porutunna Soundaryam, his first book of poetry, was published in 1949. Daahikunna Paanapaathram was a compilation of his early poetry that he released.
തീ എന്ന നാടകത്തിലെ ഒരു മലയാളം ഗാനമാണ്"അരുതെന്നോ പാടുവാനരുതെന്നോ". ഒ എൻ വി കുറുപ്പിന്റെ വരികൾക്ക് എം കെ അർജുനൻ സംഗീതം പകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. 2007-ൽ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പരമോന്നത സാഹിത്യ ബഹുമതിയായ ജ്ഞാനപീഠ പുരസ്കാരം ലഭിച്ച കേരളത്തിലെ ഒരു മലയാള കവിയും ഗാനരചയിതാവുമായിരുന്നു ഒറ്റപ്ലാക്കൽ നീലകണ്ഠൻ വേലു കുറുപ്പ്. 1998-ൽ, ഇന്ത്യയിലെ നാലാമത്തെ പരമോന്നത സിവിലിയൻ ബഹുമതിയായ പത്മശ്രീയും, 2011-ൽ, ഇന്ത്യയിലെ രണ്ടാമത്തെ ഉയർന്ന സിവിലിയൻ ബഹുമതിയായ പത്മവിഭൂഷണും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ലഭിച്ചു. 2007-ൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ കേരള സർവ്വകലാശാലയിൽ നിന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ഓണററി ഡോക്ടറേറ്റ് ലഭിച്ചു. ഇടതുപക്ഷ അനുഭാവത്തിന് ഒ.എൻ.വി. ഓൾ ഇന്ത്യ സ്റ്റുഡന്റ്സ് ഫെഡറേഷന്റെ (എഐഎസ്എഫ്) നേതൃത്വ ടീമിൽ അംഗമായിരുന്നു. 1946-ൽ ഒരു പ്രാദേശിക വാരികയിൽ വന്ന ഒ.എൻ.വി.യുടെ ആദ്യത്തെ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച കവിതയാണ് മുന്നോട്ട്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ കവിതാസമാഹാരമായ പൊരുതുന്ന സൗന്ദര്യം 1949-ൽ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു. ദാഹിക്കുന്ന പാനപാത്രം അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യകാല കവിതകളുടെ സമാഹാരമാണ്.
