Art Therapy

Presentations | English

"Art Therapy refers to the therapeutic practice where one’s artistic inclinations lead them to portray their deepest and darkest thoughts and emotions as visual representations. These can be used both as a means of reading their state of mind and as an activity that purely brings them peace and tranquillity through a creative outlet. This mode of psychotherapy that uses various methods like painting, colouring, drawing, doodling, creating collages, photography, sculpting- is slowly gaining recognition throughout the world. This is often used to help people process inner conflicts, deal with behavioural issues, develop insight, increase confidence and self-awareness and to reduce stress and anxiety. It can also be used to help cure various mental health conditions like addictions, PTSD, dementia, grief, relationship problems and much more."
