Sukumaran. Ottaplakkal Neelakandan Velu Kurup, a Malayalam poet and lyricist who won the Jnanpith Award in Kerala, is the lyricist of the song 'arivin nilave mariyunnuvo nee'. Raveendran Master, Madhavan Raveendra who was a well-known South Indian music composer and playback singer from Kerala contributed music for the song. The song was sung by Krishnan Nair Shantakumari Chithra or K.S.Chitra who is known as the Melody Queen of Indian Cinema and the Nightingale of South India, she is a cultural icon of Kerala.
