അര നാഴിക നേരം (പകുതി നാഴിക അല്ലെങ്കിൽ 12 മിനിറ്റ്) കെ.എസ്. സേതുമാധവൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത് പാറപ്പുറത്ത് എഴുതിയ, അതേ പേരിലുള്ള സ്വന്തം നോവലിനെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി 1970-ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഒരു മലയാളചലച്ചിത്രമാണ്. പാറപ്പുറത്തിനും സിനിമയിൽ ചെറിയൊരു പങ്കുണ്ട്. തൊണ്ണൂറ് വയസ്സുള്ള കുലപതിയായ കുഞ്ഞേനച്ചന്റെ (കൊട്ടാരക്കര ശ്രീധരൻ നായർ) നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു യാഥാസ്ഥിതിക ക്രിസ്ത്യൻ കുടുംബത്തെ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചാണ് ചിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഇതിവൃത്തം ദി ബുക്ക് അനുസരിച്ച് ജീവിക്കുന്നത്. പ്രേം നസീർ, സത്യൻ, രാഗിണി, ഷീല, കെ പി ഉമ്മർ, അടൂർ ഭാസി, അംബിക സുകുമാരൻ എന്നിവരും ചിത്രത്തിൽ അഭിനയിക്കുന്നു. മലയാളം സിനിമ എന്നത് കേരളത്തിലെ തെക്കൻ സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ഇന്ത്യൻ ചലച്ചിത്ര വ്യവസായമാണ്, മലയാളം-ഭാഷാ സിനിമകളുടെ നിർമ്മാണത്തിനായി സമർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയിലെ നാലാമത്തെ വലിയ സിനിമാ വ്യവസായമാണ് മലയാളം. ഛായാഗ്രഹണം കൊണ്ടും റിയലിസ്റ്റിക് കഥാസന്ദർഭങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ടും മലയാള സിനിമകൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. 1999-ലെ കാൻ ഫിലിം ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിൽ മരണ സിംഹാസനം, വാനപ്രസ്ഥം എന്നിവയുൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള ചിത്രങ്ങൾ അൻ സർറ്റൈൻ റീഗാർഡ് വിഭാഗത്തിൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.
Ara Nazhika Neram (Half nazhika or 12 minutes) is a Malayalam film directed by K. S. Sethumadhavan and written by Parappurath, based on his own novel of the same name, released in 1970. Parappurath also had a small part in the movie. The film's plot centres on an orthodox Christian family led by Kunjenachan (Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair), a ninety-year-old patriarch who lives his life according to The Book. Prem Nazir, Sathyan, Ragini, Sheela, K. P. Ummer, Adoor Bhasi, and Ambika Sukumaran also star in the film. Malayalam cinema is an Indian film industry located in Kerala's southern state, dedicated to the production of Malayalam-language films. The Malayalam film industry is the fourth largest in India. Malayalam films are noted for their cinematography and realistic storylines. At the 1999 Cannes Film Festival, films including Marana Simhasanam and Vanaprastham were presented in the Un Certain Regard section.
