"The twelfth chapter of the Holy Book of Quran is titled ‘Ar-Ra’d’ or “The Thunder”. Comprising of a total of 43 verses (ayah) divided into 6 Rukus or Sections. This Surah was amongst the ones revealed in Mecca, although some do not agree with it and instead counters it by saying that it was introduced in Madina. The name of the title was derived from the mention of “Ar-Ra’d” in the 13th verse. The major point of focus of the Surah is about the Oneness of God or monotheism. Therefore, the chapter clearly states about stresses on the belief that God is responsible for the creation of the entire universe, including the people and the materialistic wonders of the world. It also conveys that the power and abilities God has and how He is the supreme power. "
