Is Anxiety an illness or disorder? Anxiety disorder refers to a mental health disorder characterized by feelings of worry, anxiety, or fear that are strong enough to interfere with one's daily activities. Anxiety is not curable, but there are ways to keep it from being a big problem. Common anxiety signs and symptoms include Feeling nervous, restless or tense, having a sense of impending danger, panic or doom, having an increased heart rate, breathing rapidly (hyperventilation), Sweating, Trembling, feeling weak or tired, and Trouble concentrating or thinking about anything other than the present worry. Treatment includes counselling or medication, including antidepressants. Other methods include Avoiding alcohol, reduce caffeine intake, Physical exercise, Quitting smoking, Relaxation techniques, Stress management, and Healthy diet, Cognitive behavioural therapy, Psychotherapy, SSRIs, Anxiolytic, Antidepressant, Sedative, and Nerve pain medications.
