Anti-HIV Using Nanorobots

There is currently no specific technology for the treatment of AIDS. Patients are given drugs with specific compositions that can increase their lifespan by a few years only. However, the use of nanotechnology, which has biomedical applications, could make the treatment more specific. Nanorobots are about 100 times smaller than animal cells, making it easy for them to monitor the behavior of cells inside the body. These robots use nanosensors to detect AIDS-infected white blood cells and convert them back into original white blood cells. They operate at specific sites and have no side effects, thus providing AIDS patients with an immune system to defend themselves against the disease.
