Vandanam' is a malayalam comedy thriller movie directed by Priyadarsan. The song 'Anthiponvettam Mellethazhumbol' is from this movie which was released in 1989. Sujatha Mohan and M G Sreekumar sung this song and music composition was done by Ouseppachan. Lyricist of the song was Shibu Chakravarthy. Lead character roles were played by Mohanlal, Girija Shettar, Nedumudi Venu, Mukesh, Sukumari and Jagadish. The film was a huge success and was also remade into Telugu.
പ്രിയദർശൻ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത മലയാളം കോമഡി ത്രില്ലർ ചിത്രമാണ് 'വന്ദനം'. 1989ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ഈ ചിത്രത്തിലേതാണ് 'അന്തിപൊൻവെട്ടം മേലെത്തഴുമ്പോൾ' എന്ന ഗാനം. സുജാത മോഹനും എം ജി ശ്രീകുമാറും ചേർന്ന് ആലപിച്ച ഈ ഗാനത്തിന് ഔസേപ്പച്ചനാണ് ഈണം പകർന്നത്. ഷിബു ചക്രവർത്തിയായിരുന്നു ഗാനത്തിന്റെ വരികൾ. മോഹൻലാൽ, ഗിരിജ ഷെട്ടർ, നെടുമുടി വേണു, മുകേഷ്, സുകുമാരി, ജഗദീഷ് എന്നിവരാണ് പ്രധാന കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്. ചിത്രം വൻ വിജയമായതിനാൽ തെലുങ്കിലേക്കും റീമേക്ക് ചെയ്തു.
