"The twenty fourth Surah of the Holy Book of Quran is titled An-Nur or ""Light"". The name was derived from the 37th verse of this Surah. It comprises of a total of 64 verses (ayah) which is divided into 9 Ruckus or Sections. It is believed that the An-Nur made its revelation in Madina where Muslims joined after migration and became a community, after therefore they set laws and guidelines for the day to day life for so that the believers could follow it and lead a good life. The centre theme of the Surah An-Nur is the social and society life and the major rules and regulations set to keep the society together. A dispute is still active between Quranic commentators regarding the time of revelation of Surah An-Nur Some also states and is firm on the beleif that An-Nur was revealed after the battle of Bani Mustali"
