Aambal poove is a song from the movie Kavalam Chundan sung by K. J. Yesudas, Chorus. Yesudas is recognised as one of the best singers in Indian music history as well as a cultural icon of Kerala. During the 1970s and 1980s, he also composed a lot of Malayalam film songs. The music was composed by G. Devarajan and the lyrics were written by Vayalar Ramavarma. J. Sasikumar directed Kavalam Chundan, which was produced by V. P. M. Manikkam and released in 1967. In the lead roles are Sathyan, Sharada, Adoor Bhasi, and P. J. Antony. J. Sasikumar wrote the story. The dialogues and screenplay were written by Thoppil Bhasi.
കാവാലം ചുണ്ടൻ എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിലെ ഗാനമാണ്"ആമ്പൽ പൂവേ". ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത് കെ.ജെ. യേശുദാസ്, കോറസ് ആണ്. ഇന്ത്യൻ സംഗീത ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച ഗായകരിൽ ഒരാളായും കേരളത്തിന്റെ സാംസ്കാരിക ചിഹ്നമായും യേശുദാസ് അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. 1970 കളിലും 1980 കളിലും അദ്ദേഹം ധാരാളം മലയാള ചലച്ചിത്ര ഗാനങ്ങളും രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. വയലാർ രാമവർമ എഴുതിയ വരികൾക്ക് സംഗീതം നൽകിയത് ജി.ദേവരാജനാണ്. ജെ.ശശികുമാർ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്ത കാവാലം ചുണ്ടൻ, വി.പി.എം.മാണിക്കം നിർമ്മിച്ച് 1967ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങി. സത്യൻ, ശാരദ, അടൂർ ഭാസി, പി.ജെ.ആന്റണി എന്നിവരാണ് പ്രധാന വേഷങ്ങളിൽ. തോപ്പിൽ ഭാസിയുടെ കഥയും സംഭാഷണവും ജെ.ശശികുമാറിൻ്റെ തിരക്കഥയും ആണ് ചിത്രത്തിനുള്ളത് .
