Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disease beginning with mild memory loss and possibly leading to loss of the ability to carry on a conversation and respond to the environment. It is caused by the abnormal build-up of proteins in and around brain cells. In course of time this lead to degeneration of cells and eventually the cells die. It affects parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language. There are many symptoms that indicate different stages of Alzheimer's disease. The commonly seen symptoms are memory loss, challenges in planning or solving problems, difficulty in completing routine tasks, lack of clarity with time and place, trouble understanding visual images and spatial relations and so on. Depending on the stage through which the patient goes through, the symptoms and its intensity varies. The presentation gives in-depth understanding on the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease
