"The ninety second chapter or Surah in the Holy Book of Quran is titled Al-Lail or ""The Night"". The title name was derived from the very first verse in the Surah, where there is a mention of the word ‘Lail’, and it consists of a total of 21 verses (ayah). The chapter is believed to have made its revelation in Mecca, during the later period of Muhammad's preaching. It was also the time period when the persecution had started to gain severity. It is also to be noted that the last three Surahs (Surah Al-Fajr, Surah Al-Balad and Surah Ash-Shams) along with the 92nd Surah is named after elements of the Earth. The 92nd has its major subject of discussion as it begins with an Oath, of that of the Night and its capability to keep things under cover, away from the eyes of others. it also speaks about the Day and its unique capability to manifest everything.
