"Surah Al-Jumuah or ""The Congregation"" is the sixty second chapter in the Holy Book of Quran. The name of the Surah is derived from the 9th verse. It comprises a total of 11 verses, which are then divided into 2 Rukus or Sections. The revelation of the Surah are divided - the first 8 lines were revealed in Madina around the time of the conquest of Khyber and while the later verses from 9 to 11 were revealed in Madina although at a different period of time, during the earlier time after Hijrah, when the Prophet had situated the Mosque, the daily and Friday prayers too. Surah Al-Jumuah discusses the subject of the Israelites rejecting and ignoring the commands of God and therefore having the community only delve deep into other wordly matters. The reasons for their admonishment are thus given too."
