"The eighty second chapter or Surah in the Holy Book of Quran is titled Al-Infitar or the ""The Splitting/Shattering"". The title was derived from the very first verse in the Surah and it consists of a total of 19 verses (ayah). The chapter is believed to have made its revelation during the Meccan period, towards the earlier days of Muhammad's proclamation of his prophethood. The main theme of focus in the 82nd Surah is of the Hereafter. The meaning of the title gives an event described in the chapter which is the splitting of the blue sky on the very Day of Judgement or the Last Day. The first few lines speaks volumes of the several signs of the Day of Judgement or the Last Day. It also goes on to say that the Angles do make an account of the deeds of humankind.
