"Surah Al-Hashr or ""The Gathering"" or ""The Exodus"" is the fifty ninth chapter in the Holy Book of Quran. The title was derived from the second verse in the Surah, where there is a mention of the word 'Al-Hashr' which means 'exile' of the Jewish Banu Nadir tribe. It comprises a total of 24 verses (ayah) which are divided into 3 Rukus or Sections. The revelation of it was made in Madina, after the Battle of Uhud in the 4th year AH and hence the banishment of Bani Nadir. The Surah is one out of the six Surahs where the initial verse discusses the glorification of God himself. Including this, the six Surahs are Surah Al-Hadid, Al-Hashr, As-Saff, Al-Jumuah, At-Taghabun and Surah Al-Ala. The 6th verse or ayah is used to describe the land of Fadak."
