"The eighty eighth chapter or Surah in the Holy Book of Quran is titled Al-Ghashiya or "" The Overwhelming"" or "" he Overshadowing Event"". The title name was derived from the very first verse in the Surah, where there is a mention of the word ‘Ghashiya’, and it consists of a total of 26 verses (ayah). The chapter is believed to have made its revelation in Mecca, during the later period of Muhammad's preaching. It was also the time period when the persecution had started to get even severe. The 88th has its elementary subject of discussion as Hell, Paradise and the wonderful creations of God which is also described as a miracle in itself.
