The twenty fifth chapter or Surah in the Holy Book of Quran is titled Al-Furqan or "The Criterion". It comprises of a total of 77 verses (ayah) divided into 6 Rukus or Sections. The Surah was revealed in Mecca and the period of revelation is around the same time as of the twenty fourth Surah Muminoon. The title name stems from the very first verse while it implies that the main reasoning behind every majestic revelation is to present with a certain set of rules and regulations and true and false. It also gives answers go the accusations of that of the group of non believers of Islam and it's teachings, including Prophet Muhammad and his Prophethood. The Surah also gives addresses deeply about the superiority the believers hold and explains the Traits of Wrongdoers as well.
