"Surah Al-Fath or Surah ""Victory"" is the forty eighth Surah in the Holy Book of Quran. The title was derived from the very first verse of the Surah. It comprises of a total of 29 verses (ayah) divided into 4 Rukus or Sections. Out of the previous Surahs, the 48th Surah was revealed in Madina, during the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah was being carried out between the state of Madina, now a Muslim state and the Meccan polytheists. The Surah, like the title suggests celebrates the victory that God blessed Prophet Muhammad with. The title is thus a direct link to the main subject of discussion in Surah Al-Fath. The Surah also emphasises on the importance of being entirely devoted to God. It is stated that if one does not submit themselves to God, they would not find paradise."
