The eighth chapter of the Holy Quran is titled Al-Anfal or the ‘Spoils of War’. Comprising of a total of 75 verses or ayat divided into 10 Rukus/Sections. The chapter presents rules and regulations mainly regarding the subject of war and its spoils. The subject and concept of war and peace and its several different aspects are deeply discussed through action while they are employed through a lesson of morality. The chapter begins with an introduction-based review of the battle of Badr. The Surah says that the battle’s victory was only because of God’s help, support and blessings. It is said that the Battle of Badr happened because of Allah so that Islam and its set of values could grow over a sense of ignorance. To conclude, the final ayat of the Surah says that, in order to keep the community of Muslims consolidated against their contenders, they are promoted to keep happy relationships with everybody.
