Are Superiority and Inferiority the only maxims and not Equality? Ageism violates basic human and civil rights. There are no codified laws, national or local, in our country that directly deals with the issue of Age Discrimination. There are no statutory laws available to protect them but only common law actions can be instituted where discrimination based on age is highly unjustified. Nothing is more dangerous than sincere ignorance of the conscientious efforts of men and women. The clear advocation of treating employees with no bias on the level of age, gender, and race would provide a better and friendly working environment. Discrimination has got layers which only makes it harder for the people to push themselves forward with no success at the end. Unfair discipline, favoritism, or exclusion can affect the interpersonal relationship of co-workers. Imperative policies concerning the workplace should be carefully formulated and strongly enforced.
