Advertising Agency

Presentations | English

An advertising agency, sometimes known as a creative agency or an ad agency, is a company that creates, plans, and manages advertising and, in certain cases, other types of promotion and marketing for its customers. An ad agency is normally independent of the client; it might be an internal department or agency that gives an outside perspective on the endeavour to market the client's products or services, or it could be an outside business. A marketing firm can also manage comprehensive marketing and branding strategy promotions for its customers, which may involve sales. Businesses and companies, non-profit groups, and private agencies are typical ad agency customers. As part of an advertising campaign, agencies may be employed to create television ads, radio advertisements, web advertisements, out-of-home advertisements, mobile marketing, and augmented reality advertisements. William Taylor established the first recognised advertising firm in 1786. Another early firm, founded in 1800 on Fleet Street in London by James 'Jem' White, later grew into White Bull Holmes, a recruiting advertising agency that went out of business in the late 1980s.
