Why are Adaptability and Flexibility important in the Management field? Adaptability is the ability to change or be changed to fit or work better in some situation or for some purpose: able to adapt or be adapted. Adaptability is a soft skill that means being able to rapidly learn new skills and behaviors in response to changing circumstances. Adaptability expands your capacity to handle change, no matter how serious it might be. Instead of throwing away energy, trying to change your circumstance, you will change yourself right from within, thus making you thrive in whatever situation you find yourself in. Flexibility, in its general sense, refers to the response of one or more varia. to change in one or more related variables. In management, it means the responsiveness of managerial plans and actions to changes in the environment. This is an attribute that enables management to respond to new conditions. Flexible management is a cost-effective way of dealing with these issues. Being flexible will enable you to accommodate the needs of your diverse workforce more readily. Flexibility is a good management decision.
