An accounts payable manager is the official in the accounts and finance department of an organisation who is in charge of managing and overseeing all the activities in the accounts payable function and system. The procedure refers to the functions and practices followed by a company in order to effectively handle trade credit purchases. Accounts payable managers must make sure every proceeding functions timely and in the most accurate fashion. Ensuring payments of external parties and the invoices as well as expense vouchers are also a huge part of the job. When working as an accounts payable manager, one is expected to take care of carry out a number of different functions such as reviewing accounts and reports, recording and keeping track of every financial transaction and several more.
