Accounting officers are one of the most significant contributors to the department of accounts and finance. They are responsible of not just recording but making precise calculations and accurate records of the financial incomings and outgoings, for an organisation or firm. They must prepare payments of all types (such as payments for services) as well as organise payment requests and invoices. They must also handle records and hence research all financial procedures and activities. Communication is always in the job description and a good communicative sense will always help. The depth and amount of the work may depend on the type of or level of organisation one is employed at. This may also determine whether one must be specialized in a certain field or not, although specializations are always an added point.
