An individual working as the accounting coordinator has bookkeeping to problem analysis to their list of tasks and responsibilities. The main duty is to act as a link or point of communication between different parties, teams or portions amongst the accounting department; hence the name ‘coordinator’. One must be the point of contact between accounts payable accounts receivable and other external parties (clients, buyers, lenders, vendors etc). They must also keep track of proceedings and handle bookkeeping as well as assist in multiple tasks within the accounting department, such as audits to carrying out processes to solve financial gaps or other issues. An accounting coordinator is expected to not only possess a strong and deep knowledge in the file of accounting but also to have good communication skills.
