This drama song is from the well-known play titled “Yudhabhoomi.” This drama was present by one of the very famous theatre movements in Kerala that is the Kalidasa kaalakendra. The song which begins with “Aayilya thaththamme” is from this play. This drama song was beautifully composed by the most prominent music composer of South-India, G. Devarajan and written by the well-known Malayalam poet O.N.V. Kurup.
ഈ നാടകഗാനം"യുദ്ധഭൂമി" എന്ന പ്രസിദ്ധമായ നാടകത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതാണ്. കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രശസ്തമായ നാടക പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലൊന്നായ കാളിദാസ കലാകേന്ദ്രമാണ് ഈ നാടകം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്."ആയില്യ തത്തമ്മെ" എന്ന് തുടങ്ങുന്ന ഗാനം ഈ നാടകത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതാണ്. ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രമുഖ സംഗീതസംവിധായകൻ ജി. ദേവരാജൻ മനോഹരമായി രചിച്ച ഈ നാടകഗാനം എഴുതിയത് മലയാളത്തിലെ പ്രശസ്ത കവി ഒ.എൻ.വി. കുറുപ്പാണ്.
