"Kadalpalam" is a well-known drama that was first performed in 1965. Kalidasa Kendra, which was founded in 1963, produced this play. The drama "Kadalpalam" is one of Kalidasa Kendra's most well-known productions. The song which begins with "Aanakeramalayillalo," was written by the famed Malayalam poet and lyricist O.N.V. Kurup, and composed by G. Devarajan, and sung by C.O. Anto. There are around eight songs in this drama, all of which are well-known.
1965-ൽ ആദ്യമായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ച നാടകമാണ്"കടൽപ്പാലം". 1963-ൽ സ്ഥാപിതമായ കാളിദാസ കേന്ദ്രമാണ് ഈ നാടകം നിർമ്മിച്ചത്."കടൽപ്പാലം" എന്ന നാടകം കാളിദാസ കേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രശസ്തമായ നിർമ്മാണങ്ങളിലൊന്നാണ്."ആനകേറാമലയിലാലോ" എന്ന് തുടങ്ങുന്ന ഗാനം എഴുതിയത് പ്രശസ്ത മലയാള കവിയും ഗാനരചയിതാവുമായ ഒ.എൻ.വി. കുറുപ്പ്, സംഗീതം: ജി. ദേവരാജൻ, പാടിയത് സി.ഒ. ആന്റോ. ഈ നാടകത്തിൽ ഏകദേശം എട്ടോളം പാട്ടുകൾ ഉണ്ട്, അവയെല്ലാം അറിയപ്പെടുന്നവയാണ്.
