The drama song starting with “Aadiyapaadam Thalarumbol” was from the very famous play titled “Srishti.” This play was presented by Aswathy Theatres group. The field of Malayalam theatre and drama had become active by the end of the 19th century. The birth of Malayalam drama became an era of change across the world. This drama song was written by the evergreen Malayalam poet O.N.V. Kurup and it was composed by M.K. Arjunnan, who is a well-known theatre music composer.
"ആടിയപാദം തളരുമ്പോൾ" എന്ന് തുടങ്ങുന്ന നാടകഗാനം"സൃഷ്ടി" എന്ന വളരെ പ്രശസ്തമായ നാടകത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ളതാണ്. അശ്വതി തിയറ്റേഴ്സ് ഗ്രൂപ്പാണ് ഈ നാടകം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്. 19-ാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിന്റെ അവസാനത്തോടെ മലയാള നാടക മേഖല സജീവമായി. മലയാള നാടകത്തിന്റെ പിറവി ലോകമെമ്പാടും മാറ്റത്തിന്റെ യുഗമായി മാറി. ഈ നാടകഗാനം എഴുതിയത് മലയാളത്തിലെ നിത്യഹരിത കവി ഒ.എൻ.വി. കുറുപ്പും അതിന്റെ സംഗീതം നിർവഹിച്ചത് പ്രശസ്ത നാടക സംഗീതസംവിധായകനായ എം.കെ. അർജുനനാണ്.
